Running on mains water or recycled washing down the grinding chamber at the end of the day will help prevent staining, corrosion and mechanical parts seizing up, (especially the safety bevel unit).
Spend about 1-2 minutes washing the inside of the chamber, ensuring you spending a bit more time cleaning around the Lens measuring arm and safety bevel unit.
NOTE: Leaving the chamber door open will help the machine air and dry faster.
Over time the finish wheel can become clogged, which can affect the sharpness of the vee, quality of the finish and speed. we recommend that you dress your wheel at least once a month.
If you are unsure on how to dress the wheels, please send us a message using the chat icon, we will be happy to send you the step by step guide for your machine.
Calibrating with the Frame 162.83 Jig.
Not calibrating the tracer can cause issues with shapes and sizing, whilst over calibrating will cause unnecessary wear on components.
we recommend after every 70 traces you check that the tracer is within +/-0.05 of 162.83. to do this place the Jig inside the clamps and trace like a normal frame. If the values are within tolerance then you are to carry on as normal. If the values fall out of the +/- 0.05 range preform the calibration by pressing L&R together for 1 second, followed by the middle button. be sure to check values after calibrating.
